Hanjin Shipping names 8,000-TEU ship
Hanjin Shipping Thursday named the 8,000-TEU vessel “Hanjin Baltimore” at the Ulsan shipyard of Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).
The vessel is the third of five 8,000-TEU class ships ordered by Hanjin from HHI. It will be deployed on Hanjin’s weekly transpacific Pacific Express Service (PSX), making its maiden voyage when it departs Gwangyang Oct. 7.
Hanjin said the last two 8,000-TEU class vessels on order, “Hanjin Yantian” and the “Hanjin Dallas,” will join the PSX by the end of the year.
