Hanjin starting second Korea/China feeder service

Hanjin starting second Korea/China feeder service Seoul-based Hanjin Shipping will next month launch a second dedicated weekly container feeder service between South Korea and China.
The Korea Tianjin-Dalian (KTD) service will operate with one 430-TEU vessel, calling at Busan, Gwangyang, Xiang-gang, Dalian and Busan. It will commence with the departure from Xiang-gang on June 15.
Hanjin said the service, added to its existing Korea Tianjin Service (KTS), “will strengthen transshipment service from Northern China to the Americas and save logistics costs.
“In particular, the launch of this dedicated feeder service is expected to address the shortage of space, during the peak season, departing from Northern China such as Dalian and Xiang-gang, where the container shipments are gradually increasing,” Hanjin said in a statement.
