Hansen heads air freight for Damco North Asia

   The logistics services and freight forwarding company Damco said Tuesday that Preben Hansen will join Damco North Asia as chief executive officer of New Times International Transport Service (NTS), based in Shanghai.
   Damco, the logistics arm of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, acquired NTS in 2011. NTS is an air capacity provider in China, which allowed Damco to strengthen its air freight platform in China with three gateways in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.
   Hansen will reports to Henriette Hallberg Thygesen, CEO for Damco North Asia. Previously he was Damco’s country manager in Bangladesh, a role he held since 2005.
   “The NTS operating platform gives us unique possibilities to grow our business faster than any other competition,” Hansen said.
