The charge will be added “to partially cover the rising costs to manage equipment imbalances,” the company said.
The charge, which applies to all container types with the exception of reefer or temperature-controlled boxes, will be $200 for 20-foot containers and $250 for 40-foot containers and take effect Feb. 15.
