HAPAG-LLOYD, LYKES SIGN SPACE CHARTER AGREEMENT
Hapag-Lloyd Container Lines and Lykes Lines Ltd. have entered into a space chartering agreement covering the trade between the U.S. Atlantic and Gulf coasts and the Mediterranean.
Under the agreement, Hapag-Lloyd will charter space for 50 TEUS on each eastbound and westbound sailing. Upon request, Lykes may make additional space available to Hapag-Lloyd, subject to space availability.
The agreement is expected to go into effect May 26.
