Hapag-Lloyd, NYK upgrade ECSA service

Hapag-Lloyd and NYK Line will upgrade their joint U.S. East Coast/East Coast of South America service to weekly effective July 10.

      The service offers no Florida departures, using the Port of Savannah as its South Atlantic port call.

   The carriers have added three vessels to improve the frequency to weekly from fortnightly, and have also added calls at Caucedo, Dominican Republic; Puerto Cabello,

Venezuela; and Salvador and Itajai in Brazil.

   The full port rotation is New York/New Jersey, Norfolk, Savannah, Caucedo, Puerto Cabello (fortnightly), Santos, Itajai, Vitoria, Salvador, Puerto Sucre, Puerto Cabello (fortnightly), Caucedo, New York/New Jersey.

   Hapag-Lloyd has a sales office in Miami and its Latin America Regional Headquarters is in Tampa. NYK has sales offices in Miami and Jacksonville.
