Hapag-Lloyd to increase rates Oct. 1    Hapag-Lloyd said it will increase container freight rates on trades between Europe, Africa and Oceania, effective Oct. 1.
   The increases by trade are:
   ' From North America to Southern and West Africa, $150 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot container.
   ' From North Europe to Southern Africa, $100 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-footer.
   ' From North Europe to West Africa 75 euros per 20-foot container and 150 euros per 40-foot container.
   ' From North Europe to Oceania — Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands — 175 euros per 20-foot container and 350 euro per 40-footer.
   ' From the Mediterranean to Oceania, $250 per 20-foot container and $500 per 40-footer.
   ' From Oceania to North Europe or Mediterranean, $100 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-footer.
