Hardy, CBP field director, retires
Thomas W. Hardy, operations director for the Seattle region, retired last Friday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.
He held the same post from 1995 to 2003 for the former Customs Service, before it melded into the Department of Homeland Security.
His area of responsibility included the Pacific Northwest and the Canadian border to the Great Lakes.
He spent 36 years in Customs.
