Harris retires from CN
Ed Harris, executive vice-president, operations at Canadian National Railway Co., Tuesday announced his retirement from the company, effective today.
Harris joined the Illinois Central Corp. in 1968, and transferred to CN when it acquired IC in July 1999.
E. Hunter Harrison, president and chief executive officer of CN, said: 'Ed has played a key role in executing CN's precision railroading practices and making the company the most efficient carrier in the rail industry.'
