H÷egh Autoliners, Maersk to cooperate on car carrier vessels Norway’s H'egh Autoliners has entered into a cooperation with Maersk Shipping Singapore, a subsidiary of Denmark’s A.P. Moller-Maersk, to commercially operate their combined fleet of about 67 car carrier vessels under its own name and from its Oslo offices, effective Feb. 1.
   Both companies will remain individually responsible for the technical management and crewing of the vessels.
   'The cooperation ' improves our ability to meet our customers'    requirements for services and transportation volume,' said Thor J'rgen Guttormsen, chief executive officer of H'egh Autoliners.
   The car carriers owned by Maersk Shipping Singapore will enter the cooperation as current time charter commitments expire.
   'The new cooperation is established to provide increased capacity, faster transit times and higher frequency to meet customers requirements,' A.P. Moller-Maersk said in a statement.
