Hicks to join transportation planning firm
A former executive with the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority has joined the transportation planning firm Cambridge Systematics and will head the company's Southern California office.
Gill Hicks, former general manager of ACTA, had most recently headed his own consulting firm, Gill V. Hicks and Associates, whose clients included the Port of Long Beach, City of Long Beach, Port of Los Angeles, Port of Hueneme, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and the City of Chicago.
Prior to that he led ACTA, a 20-mile freight rail line connecting the Southern California ports to rail container yards near downtown Los Angeles.
