In December alone, the airport’s cargo throughput reached 391,000 tons, a 1 percent increase year-over-year. The slight increase resulted from export volumes inching up 2 percent year-over-year in December.
Looking ahead, HKIA expects only mild growth in cargo volumes due to global economic uncertainties.
