Horizon Air raises single item weight limit for some destinations
Alaska Air Cargo said its sister airline Horizon Air is raising the weight limit on single items of cargo for certain cities it serves.
“Previously, Horizon Air had a weight limit of 100 pounds per piece for all flights but select cities now have the ability and equipment to safely accept, transport, load and unload single pieces that weigh up to 150 pounds,” the airline said. “Shipments that contain single pieces that weigh more than 100 pounds cannot be routed to Horizon Air cities that are maintaining the 100 pounds weight limit, but they can be routed between the cities (that are), or between these and other cities served by Alaska Airlines.”
The cities are Boise, Burbank, Spokane, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Ontario, Portland, Phoenix, Palm Springs, San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento and Orange County.
