Horizon reduces board

Horizon reduces board Horizon Lines said two members of its board are leaving at the end of the year and that the size of the board would be reduced from 11 to nine members.
   Ernie L. Danner and Francis Jungers will step down from the company's board, effective Dec. 31.
   Danner, 54, has served as a director since November 2004, and was chairman of the board's audit committee. He was recently named president and chief operating officer of Exterran Holdings Inc. Board member Thomas P. Storrs, 55, will become the new chairman of the audit committee, and James G. Cameron, 62, will become the third member of the audit committee.
   Jungers, 82, a director since April 2005, is a private investor and consultant.
   Chuck Raymond, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said the smaller board 'remains strong and independent at nine members, an appropriate number for the size and business of Horizon Lines.'
