HUAL COMPLETES SIX-VESSEL BUILDING PROGRAM

HUAL, the Scandinavian roll-on/roll-off and car-carrier operator, has completed a six-vessel building program started in 1997.

The shipping company has taken delivery of the HUAL Europe from Korean shipyard Daewoo and the HUAL Trove from Japan’s Tsuneishi Shipbuilding, the last two in the series of new ships.

The six new pure-car-truck-carriers are virtually identical and each have a capacity of 6,200 standard-size cars, or a mix of cars, trucks and high or heavy ro/ro cargo.

After the latest deliveries, the HUAL fleet now has 25 deep-sea vessels and three short-sea vessels owned by parent company Leif H'egh & Co., in addition to tonnage chartered.
