Huber added to COAC
The Department of Homeland Security has named Don Huber, global customs manager for General Electric, to fill a vacancy on a federal advisory committee that provides industry input regarding the impact of customs and security activities on international trade.
Huber replaces Christopher Koch on the 20-member Commercial Operations Advisory Committee. In May, Koch took a leave of absence as president of the World Shipping Council to help run the presidential campaign of Sen. John McCain.
COAC terms are for two years and members can serve two consecutive terms. Huber will finish out the remainder of Koch's term, which runs until early 2009.
