Hvide Marine Inc. has named Jean Fitzgerald to succeed J. Erik Hvide as
the company’s chairman, president, and CEO.
Fitzgerald, 73, who has been a Hvide director since 1994 and is widely
known in the maritime industry, takes up his new duties immediately. Hvide,
50, resigned for personal reasons. He will remain a director of the company
founded by his father, Hans, in 1958.
Hvide Marine, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is a leading provider of
marine support and transportation services.
