Hyldager replaces Morse as Inchape’s chief

U.K.-based marine services provider Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) Friday promoted Claus Hyldager to group chief executive officer, replacing Simon Morse.

Hyldager joined ISS in 1995 and was most recently chief operating officer, marine services.

ISS was acquired earlier this year by United Arab Emirates-based investment company Istithmar PJSC.

“We consider ISS as one of the jewels in our crown. Simon Morse has contributed significantly to the group and having successfully completed the transition of the company from Electra Partners was ready to hand over to Claus Hyldager, who will lead ISS into the next phase of expansion,” said Muneef Tarmoom, CEO of Istithmar.
