Hyundai, ‘K’ Line, NYK, and PIL leave MOL’s CSW

   The liner shipping companies Hyundai, “K” Line, NYK and PIL have all left MOL’s CSW service which covers Asia, Africa, and East Coast South America.
   All four liner companies, who were taking slots on the Asia-to-East Coast South America portion, have ended their participation on the CSW with the final sailing departing on March 31 with the MOL Grandeur. For Hyundai, this was its CSW service, NYK’s NHX2, PIL’s SA2, and “K” Line’s AESA-L2. Hamburg Süd and Alianca are the only companies left currently chartering slots on the CSW. 
   The CSW has recently added a call to Cape Town and an eastbound call to Ngqura. MOL continues to be the only carrier of the group to serve ports in Africa. The service operates with 13 vessels averaging 5,325 TEUs. The rotation is Xingang, Dalian, Qingdao, Busan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Ngqura, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Paranagua, Sao Francisco do Sul, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town, Ngqura, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Xingang. — ComPair Data, Bessie Howard
