IAG adds more China capacity

IAG Cargo will add an additional 42 tons of cargo capacity on routes between London Heathrow and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, starting March 31.
A new weekly passenger service on Boeing 777 aircraft will increase the number of flights between the new airport to seven.
“Our aim as a cargo carrier is to help facilitate global trade. At present, a significant proportion of this trade is centered on the high-growth market of China, so we are delighted to be able to offer additional capacity and increased availability on our Shanghai route,” IAG Cargo’s John Cheetham said in a statement. “By ramping up its services to and from China, IAG Cargo is doing all it can to help customers fully realize the economic potential of the region.”
