IAG brings small cargo service to Atlanta, Dallas

IAG Cargo has launched its Cargo Connector service, which focuses on consignments of less than 200 kilograms, at airports in Dallas/Fort Worth and Atlanta.
The service is being pitched to freight forwarders who need to book cargo on short notice. IAG Cargo officials will now collect and courier cargo from a forwarder’s facility to the airport. Cargo will be screened as required, and the service has no extra cost.
Cargo Connector had previously been only available in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and London.
“The Cargo Connector service is proving to be a huge success in the North American market and beyond. It helps increase our share of the low-weight, break cargo market while providing customers with a service that adds real value to their businesses,” IAG’s Joe LeBeau said in a statement. “We continue to examine other markets where Cargo Connector would be applicable and foresee continued success through this service.” – Jon Ross
