IAG Cargo boosts Latin American capacity

The carrier will add tonnage between Madrid and Santiago, Chile, through March.    Iberia has added three more routings between Madrid and Santiago, Chile, each week until March, allowing IAG Cargo to offer 11.6 more tons of cargo space each week.
   The flights will use Airbus A340 aircraft and are being added to service peak passenger demand.
   “Chile is a hugely important country both as a market and as an exporter. We hope to help ensure that the peak season is as profitable as possible for Chilean businesses while also providing a welcome lift in services for customers shipping to the region,” Rodrigo Casal, IAG Cargo’s vice president, commercial, for Latin America, said in a statement. “We are able to do this due to our product depth, service excellence and the breadth of our global network, which is one of the most important in the world when it comes to connecting to Latin America.”
