IAG upgrades capacity on Philly, Calgary routes

   IAG Cargo has upgraded its fleet offering from London to Philadelphia and Calgary, upgrading the planes used to Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which will offer more capacity to customers.
   Officials also pointed out that the air conditioning capabilities in the cargo holds of the planes will help further grow the pharmaceutical trade between London and Calgary.
   The Philadelphia services will revert to smaller planes for IAG’s winter schedule; Calgary service with the 787, officials said, will begin later this year.
   “This announcement marks the latest stage in our fleet modernization program, which has already seen us deploy next-generation aircraft on key routes on our network including Singapore, Hyderabad and Austin,” Joe Le Beau, IAG’s regional commercial manager, North America, at IAG Cargo, said in a statement. “When complete, this will make us one of the best-equipped cargo carriers in the industry and will enable us to further improve the premium products we offer our customers, in particular the strategically important Constant Climate product.”
