IATA says airport capacity shortage looming for India The International Air Transport Association said Monday that India is failing to keep pace with expected air freight demand and a capacity crunch may hit by 2011.
   An IATA industry forecast said India's air freight market is likely to grow faster than any other in Asia except for China, but that airports in China and the Middle East are better prepared to cope with the surge.
   Intra-Asian air freight will drive the market, with some 57 percent of the world's air freight to be moved within the region by 2011.
   Despite huge orders of jets by Indian airlines, airports appear unlikely to keep pace with expected demand, even as India's two biggest cities — Mumbai and Delhi — are expanding their airports, and two greenfield airports go up in Hyderabad and Bangalore.
