IBM has completed its acquisition of Emptoris.
IBM said Emptoris’ offerings will bring more intelligence to its supply chain operations through its Smarter Commerce platform by automating vendor selection, negotiation, management and compliance. IBM’s purchase of Emptoris will also expand its cloud-based analytics and supply chain management services. About 725 Emptoris employees will join the IBM software group.
