IBM, SSA Global form software alliance
IBM, an information technology provider, and SSA Global, a source of enterprise planning software, have announced a strategic alliance to help customers maximize benefits of enterprise applications.
IBM and SSA Global will help mid-size companies update end-to-end technology systems while sharing more business information.
Such integration will benefit customers already running SSA Global software on IBM eServer x,i,p and z series technology.
The two companies will jointly market enterprise software from SSA Global built on IBM middleware. “Customers can avoid a costly ‘rip and replace’ approach because they will able to integrate new applications with older (processes),” said Mike Greenough, chairman, president and chief executive officer of SSA Global.
