ICAO reappoints Cherif
Taieb Cherif has been reappointed as secretary general of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization for a second three-year term.
Cherif’s new term is effective Aug. 1.
The Montreal-based ICAO is a United Nations organization responsible for coordinating aviation safety and technical standards for nearly 200 member countries.
The United States had submitted the name of former Federal Aviation Administration official William Voss to the position.
