The digital freight forwarder is scheduled to open more offices in South America later this year.    Digital freight forwarder iContainers has opened a new office in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
   The office will manage import and export freight in and around the Caribbean, iContainers said.
   “The potential of the Dominican Republic is indisputable,” iContainers President and Co-Founder Iván Tintoré said. “It has a dynamic economy, which has recorded a 7 percent growth over the past five years, and a strong relationship with the Spanish and American markets.”
   Further openings in South America are planned for later this year.
   “Our objective is to continue expanding in Central and South America, which are two of the main markets for our offices in the U.S. and Spain,” Tintoré said.
   The Dominican Republic office joins the most recent opening in Rotterdam, along with existing offices in Miami and Barcelona.
