Key Takeaways:

The Philippines-based global terminal operator International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) said this week it has received eight new rubber tire gantry cranes at its flagship Manila facility.
The new cranes will be put into service in ICTSI’s Manila International Container Terminal’s (MICT) new Berth 6 operation, raising the RTG fleet in the terminal from 37 to 45.
When Berth 6 opens, it will raise MICT’s annual handling capacity from 1.9 million TEUs to 2.5 million TEUs. ICTSI has ordered two super-post-Panamax quay cranes for the new berth that are set to be operational by 2012.
