IES offers Web-based AMS query

IES, a developer of systems for freight transportation providers, will offer a new online program that allows users to query shipment information filed to U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Automated Manifest System (AMS).

By logging on to http://www.go-ams.com, or IES AMS Query, transportation parties will have access to status messages and view cargo releases, cargo holds, in bond approvals and arrivals, in addition to other customs messages.

Andrew Bullen, president of Midland Park, N.J.-based IES, said the program will “eliminate the need to spend hours on hold with steamship lines requesting AMS data.”
