IES offers Web-based program to meet Canada’s advance manifest rule

IES Ltd. has rolled out a Web-based program to help shippers comply with Canada’s upcoming advance manifest information filing rule.

Starting April 19, all ocean shipments entering Canada must be entered in the Canada Border Services Agency’s Advance Commercial Information (ACI) system 24 hours prior to loading on vessels overseas.

IES said its Ocean ACI program can help shippers manage voyages, house bills, arrivals and in-bond activities for their shipments imported into Canada. Data entry is minimized through “auto-population” of frequently used and repetitive information such as shipper, consignee, intermediate and notify parties, the Midland Park, N.J.-based firm said.
