iGPS taps Sparn for CIO
Intelligent Global Pooling Systems has appointed Jack Sparn to chief information officer.
Sparn will be responsible for iGPS's technology, research and development, and will oversee systems implementation, process design and integration.
Sparn has more than 30 years of information technology experience. He recently served as CIO of Alliance Data Systems. In addition to some consulting, Sparn served for a period as senior vice president and CIO for CHEP International.
iGPS manages an all-plastic pallet pool, which is completely tracked through embedded radio frequency identification tags. The company was launched in March 2006, and its management includes numerous pallet and supply chain industry veterans, led by Bob Moore, chief executive officer, and Rex Lowe, president. The company is based in Orlando, Fla., and has offices in Dallas, New York, and Bentonville, Ark.
