IJS acquires UK forwarder
IJS Global Inc. of Stamford, Conn. has entered the U.K. freight and logistics market by acquiring majority ownership in London-headquartered Lupprians Cargo Express Ltd.
Lupprians will be rebranded as IJS Global (UK) Ltd., and will offer its clients enhanced service through IJS Global's worldwide network.
Lupprians has offices at London Heathrow, Manchester and Glasgow.
Mike Gillett, who founded Lupprians in 1993, will remain with the rebranded company as chief executive officer, United Kingdom and Ireland. In addition, Lupprians' top executives and managers will continue with IJS Global (UK) Ltd.
