Illness may prevent St. Lucia prime ministerÆs return
Lt. Lucian Prime Minister John Compton, who is hospitalized in New York after suffering a series of 'mini strokes,' will likely not be able to return to office, a cabinet minister who visited Compton in the hospital said.
Associated Press reported that cabinet minister Lennard Montoute said Compton, 82, is lucid and in good spirits, but too weak to stand or walk without assistance.
'It is very unlikely that he will be able to resume his position in government,' Montoute said. Compton has been hospitalized since May 1.
