Impatex changes name

Impatex Computer Systems, a U.K.-based provider of customs processing software, is changing its name to Impatex Freight Software.
The company said this reflects its main areas of developing, supplying and supporting customs and freight forwarding software, and it has not provided computer hardware for more than 10 years.
Impatex currently provides two products: ICE and NetFreight.
ICE, Integrated Customs for Europe, is a customs processing solution aimed at corporate forwarders that handle large volumes of customs clearance. Impatex said ICE is used to replace its previous Customs Manager system that it claims handles more than half of all frontier entries in the United Kingdom.
NetFreight is Impatex’s browser-based forwarding, customs, warehousing, and CRM system. Impatex aims this at small and mid-sized users, reaching almost 100 forwarders in the United Kingdom and United States.
