Loaded import container volume at Long Beach jumped 12.8 percent to 284,800 TEUs, compensating for a 1.6 percent decline in exports, which stood at 108,215 TEUs. Empty containers in the month were down 3.2 percent to 148,189 TEUs.
After the first two months of the year, the total number of containers shipped through the port has risen 3.4 percent to 1.13 million TEUs.
