Inchcape opens Dutch Harbor office

   The maritime services provider Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has opened a new office in Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
   “The opening of this office will give ISS a much needed presence in this area of Alaska,” said Tod Gannett, Inchcape’s vice president for the U.S. and Canada West Coast and Hawaii. “This will allow us to better serve our current client base as well as explore new business opportunities in the region.”
   The area was handled by ISS’ Seattle office through a local sub-agent network in the past, and Inchcape said it is still expects to use sub-agents in Alaska, with the aim of future expansion as the business and current customers dictate.
   The office will be managed by Greg Pawlak, formerly ISS manager in Long Beach, Calif.
   Aside from the new Alaska location, ISS has recently expanded in Chile and Mauritius.
