Indamex carriers switch terminal in India

The carriers of the India-America Express vessel-sharing agreement have switched from the saturated Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust terminal to neighboring Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal, both located near Mumbai.

The Jawaharlal Nehru facility has become increasingly congested, causing delays in vessel schedules, a shipping line user told American Shipper.

The carriers of the U.S. East Coast/India “Indamex” service are Contship Containerlines, CMA CGM, Shipping Corporation of India, APL, Lykes Lines, Hapag-Lloyd and United Arab Shipping Co.
