Indamex lines exit Savannah

Indamex lines exit Savannah APL, CMA CGM and Hapag-Lloyd will soon end calls at the Port of Savannah from their joint weekly India-America Express Service (Indamex), which only added the Georgia port to the rotation in mid-May.
   The last call at Savannah will be made on Sept. 29 by the 4,367-TEU CMA CGM Eiffel.
   Meanwhile, the service is replacing Colombo in Sri Lanka with Karachi in Pakistan.
   The Indamex service uses seven ships averaging about 4,230 TEUs and will have a revised port rotation of New York, Norfolk, Charleston, Port Said, Karachi, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Damietta, and back to New York.
   CMA CGM-subsidiaries ANL and MacAndrews both take slots on the service as does Japan’s Mitsui O.S.K. Lines who joined in July.
