ITL will begin taking delivery of the new domestic refrigerated intermodal containers this fall and into 2019.
The new containers, which will more than double ITL’s current fleet, will create new capacity and density in various lanes to and from Washington State and Oregon, ITL said.
In addition to recently building out new office space at Crown Center in Kansas City, ITL has offices in Georgia and Washington state. ITL provides shippers in Washington state and Oregon access to nearly two-thirds of the U.S. population, providing temperature-controlled, door-to-door domestic intermodal service to/from Washington and Oregon to/from various Midwest, Texas and East Coast destinations.
“We remain fully committed to Washington state and Oregon shippers and receivers and will focus much of these additional resources to reaching the Texas and Southeast markets to and from our commercial base in the Pacific Northwest,” ITL Chief Commercial Officer Steve Lawson said.
