Infor, Oak Barrel partner on supply chain

   Infor, a provider of business applications software, has announced a partnership with Oak Barrel Software to enhance its Infor10 PLM Process (Optiva) for manufacturers by adding new modules for document management, product management, and supplier collaboration.
   The companies hope the enhancements will improve supply chain collaboration and document control among partners, which they believe will speed up the time-to-market and improve the accuracy of product development across the supply chain.
   Oak Barrel, which offers process manufacturing and product lifecycle solutions (PLM), said it will continue to invest in the joint effort because it sees substantial growth in the PLM space for manufacturers.
    Some of the new modules coming from the Infor and Oak Barrel partnership are:

• Material SpecSafe, a module focused on specifications, audit compliance, and certification for product requirements.
• Product SpecSafe, a module which will allow manufacturers to quickly provide product specifications throughout the supply chain for sales, marketing, and research and development.
• Recipe Builder, which allows industries to get assistance creating regulation-compliant recipes for product manufacturing.
