Intermarine announces general rate increase

Intermarine announces general rate increase Intermarine, managing agent for Industrial Maritime Carriers, said it will implement a general rate increase on all its services between the United States and South America, effective Jan. 25.
   The GRI for breakbulk cargoes for the North Coast of South America and the Caribbean is $25 weight or measure ton, for the East Coast of South America $30 w/m; and for the West Coast of South America $35 w/m.
   Container rates have been adjusted accordingly. This GRI will apply to all inbound and outbound cargoes loaded on the carrier's vessels starting on Jan. 25.
   Intermarine is a worldwide provider of ocean transport services as well as inland heavy haul transportation services for breakbulk, specialized project and heavy lift cargo.
