INTERMARINE CHRISTENS ?INDUSTRIAL CRESCENT?

INTERMARINE CHRISTENS ôINDUSTRIAL CRESCENTö    Intermarine, the New Orleans-based ocean transport provider, christened a new vessel, the 'Industrial Crescent,' at ENVC shipyard in Viana Do Castelo, Portugal.
   The vessel, owned by the Jungerhans group of Germany, is the seventh in a series built at ENVC for Intermarine's services. Known as the Century class, each of the vessels is about 8,000 deadweight tons with a 16.5-knot service speed and two 200-metric-ton cranes.
   On its maiden voyage, the 'Industrial Crescent' loaded project cargoes in North Europe for the Mediterranean and the Far East, including two 266-metric-ton generators and a 190-metric-ton turbine for Taiwan. The vessel will join Intermarine's service between Asia and the United States.
   Along with ocean transport, Intermarine provides inland heavy haul transportation services for breakbulk, specialized project and heavy-lift cargoes.
