Intermarine sends Leonard to Shanghai

New Orleans-based breakbulk and heavy-lift specialist Intermarine has posted James Leonard to its office in Shanghai to manage all agency operational, traffic and documentation activities in the company’s Far East, India and Arabian Gulf service.

Leonard joined Intermarine in its first year of operation in 1991, and has worked in both the New Orleans and, more recently, Houston offices. He managed the company’s service between Asia and the United States when it began in the mid 1990s.

“The expanding intra-Asia market is moving very swiftly,” said Andre Grikitis, Intermarine’s president. “In order to deliver the consistency of service that we pride ourselves on, we needed a core of veterans in Asia immediately.”

Intermarine has offices in New Orleans, Houston, Caracas, Buenos Aires, Shanghai and Seoul.
