On its maiden voyage, the “Industrial Century” was positioned in Albany, where it loaded a 235-metric-ton generator and other accessories destined for Brazil.
Built in Portugal, each of the sister ships is about 7,300 deadweight tons, has a service speed of 16 knots and two 200-metric-ton electro-hydraulic cranes combinable for 400-ton lifts.
The specialized ships can carry project and heavy-lift cargoes.
Intermarine said the vessel will enter its Americas and Asia service.
