Intermarine’s Schmidt moves to Shanghai office

Intermarine’s Schmidt moves to Shanghai office Heavy-lift specialist Intermarine said today that Michael Schmidt, its commercial development manager, has transferred to its new office in Shanghai.
   Schmidt joined Intermarine in 2001 and has spent time working for its Asia service group from the company’s New Orleans and Houston offices. In his new role in China, Schmidt will have direct management responsibility for project development and pricing activities in the company’s Far East, India and Arabian Gulf service.
   “The intra-Asia market and our services in the region are expanding swiftly,” said Andre Grikitis, Intermarine’s president. “In order to deliver the consistency of service that we pride ourselves on, we needed a core of veterans in Asia immediately.”
   Intermarine now has offices in New Orleans, Houston, Caracas, Buenos Aires, Shanghai and Seoul.
