International Paper opens Visailia DC

International Paper opens Visailia DC International Paper Co. will open a 252,040-square-foot distribution center at the MidState 99 logistics park in Visalia, Calif., according to park developer The Allen Group.
   Visalia, located about 200 miles north of Los Angeles, sits adjacent to State Highway 99, a major north/south trucking route in Central California.
   The Memphis, Tenn.-based global paper and packaging manufacturer reported $22 billion in sales last year. The firm employs more than 33,000 U.S. workers and an additional 18,000 worldwide.
   San Diego-based Allen Group is also opening two additional facilities at the MidState 99 complex. The MidState Hayes Building 5 at 139,590 square feet, and the MidState Hayes Building 6 at 140,700 square feet, are both newly constructed warehouse/distribution facilities available for occupancy.
   Including the three new openings, the MidState 99 complex now has 11 facilities totaling more than 3 million square feet. The site still has about 200 acres of land remaining for future development.
