INTTRA completes Hellman U.S. integration

INTTRA completes Hellman U.S. integration Ocean freight e-commerce portal INTTRA announced Tuesday that it has completed the integration of all U.S. offices of Hellman Worldwide Logistics under the branded INTTRA Link system.
   The 25-office rollout was the first phase of a project that, following an evaluation period, will see a global roll out linking all 443 Hellmann offices in 157 countries with INTTRA.
   The INTTRA Link system offers customers with a high volume of shipping transactions the option of using XML or EDI to link their systems with carriers through INTTRA. Users integrated into the system can, according to INTTRA, then take advantage of the multiple XML and EDI connections between INTTRA and its carrier partners and forego maintaining multiple high speed direct connections.
   Based in Germany, Hellmann’s annual export volume from the U.S. exceeds 35,000 TEUs, transporting commodities such as machinery, paper, forest products, chemicals, resin and more.
   INTTRA, headquartered in Parsippany, N.Y., handles more than 260,000 container orders a week through its platform'roughly 10 percent of the global ocean container trade.
