INTTRA forms alliance with WCA Family of Logistic Networks

   INTTRA, the large multi-carrier e-commerce network for ocean freight, has created an alliance with the WCA Family of Logistics Networks to deliver critical ocean planning, management and optimization capabilities to WCA Family members.
   The pact will give WCA members access to INTTRA’s network of more than 30 ocean carriers and NVOCCs via its Worldwide Information Network (WIN). WIN is a cloud-based platform for freight forwarders.
   Members hope to standardize global shipping processes, streamline document flow, improve data accuracy, and increase visibility of ocean shipments by aligning their efforts with INTTRA’s services.
   The WCA Family is made up of independent freight forwarders with more than 4,100 member offices across 176 countries. The group says it is among the top four logistics organizations in the world based on revenue and freight volumes. It operates member support offices in Bangkok, Shanghai, Mumbai, Amsterdam, London, Buenos Aires, Las Vegas, Nairobi and Istanbul.
   INTTRA said that more than 500,000 container orders are initiated on its platform each week, which would represent more than 15 percent of global ocean container trade.
