INTTRA product alerts shippers of problems INTTRA, the e-commerce portal for the ocean freight industry, said it has started offering a product that allows shippers and freight forwarders “to focus on and then resolve potential problems before they escalate.”
   The Idle Container Management product allows shippers and freight intermediaries to receive alerts if a particular shipment is not moving as planned.
   “Visibility of supply chain data is crucial to the growth and success of the logistics industry,” said John DeBenedette, vice president of commercial for INTTRA. “We are providing companies with a simple-to-use comprehensive solution that enables them to take greater control of their supply chain.”
   INTTRA, provides e-commerce products to ocean carriers and their customers. It said more than 260,000 container orders are initiated on the INTTRA platform each week, representing more than 10 percent of global ocean container trade.
